Romantic comedy Themes : No I Dont

You know the tradition get your prince charming all dressed up take him to the altar  and give him a big fat NO. yes, the "no i don't" strategy,works every time if you have the doubts.Perhaps you could have sent him a breakup text or at least a formal warning earlier but what fun is that. Then you can follow it up with the proverbial run or marrying another geek or whatever the crowd calls out for.

     Let us leave it there, and  focus on the nameless wannabe  groom or bride.Biggest day of their life still they usually give up instantly and leave the scene calm as an Indian cow. In the history there are anecdotes of brave men like Richard Gere tracking down and marrying the runaway bride. Sadly that is not the case with most. Usually brides follow "no i don't" with a kick in the groin if you are somewhat a jerk.Sometimes it is the duty of some random guy in the crowd to give you the added insult (remember Vince Vaughn almost breaking the jaw of the groom in wedding crashers).
 Sometimes the ditched bride gets a chance at redemption with the help of a "yes i will give it a try"  kind of former lover/milk man   or through the groin attack .
  Of course there are few lucky ones in history, who got ditched somewhat earlier(wedding singer) but then it becomes customary to receive the kick. What to say, no pain no gain .
Julia Roberts almost got Dermot Mulroney to leave Cameron Diaz at the alter in "my best friends wedding " . Then  again "we don't do the same gig twice" (Don Cheadle in oceans 12/13), at least with not  the same director and cast.
